I feel like David Cronenberg wishes we had more holes. This is one of the horniest movies I've ever watched but not in a normal way, It's fucking fantastic. AND I get to see James Spader have sex with men and women! I WIN!
Iron Lung (2026)

Holy fuuuuuck this movie was worth the wait. People have been so goddamn snotty about this movie and I can't really seem to understand why? "Wahh it's to long!!"...People are so used to instant gratifcation algo-slop it kills me. Cranky because a youtube guy made a cool movie, huh? Sure, theres a good handful of things you could critisize I certainly have a few but I feel for Mark's debut onto the big screen this is crazy good. I loved the tension and OOUOHHH THE CREATURE. THE CREATURE! The creature designer, Molly Brown / deadlymelodic, did such a fantastic job!! I actually gasped out loud seeing it for the first time. Maybe I'm just not a snooty letterboxd cinephile who can only enjoy movies a certain way but me and my mom had a lot of fun seeing this in the theater. I can't imagine having such a big stick up your ass about movies. I certainly think Mark has a big beautiful creative mind and I think this movie was a good peak into the stuff is capable of and I cannot wait to see if he does anything else and what it'll be. Would it be a pipedream to say I think Buckshot Roulette would make a cool movie or short film? I hope this movie spurs a new wave of creative, wacky horror movies because I don't know how many more Scream movies I can fucking take.
The Crow (1994)

I must confess I have watched this movie like a dozen times, however my girlfriend really wanted to watch it with me...I've told it about all the 'classic goth movies' and it was insistant it wanted to watch some with me so we watched this one first. It loved this movie, thank god. ♡ This movie is also sort of special to me because its something that was introduced to me by my parents...A family classic, if you will.
Also let us not forget that the soundtrack to this movie fucking rocks. I have it on vinyl.
Dead Ringers (1988)
Directed by David CronenbergGenre: Thriller / Horror
My Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★
Oh my beloved David Cronenberg...Honestly a lot slower than your typical Cronenberg movie so it took me a bit to actually get into it...But I enjoyed it regardless. Espeically the ending the shot & the breif bits of body horror. As always I think Cronenberg really really goes ham with his set designs every single time without fail. Dude...The surgeons scrubs being RED instead of blue? Oh my god. So good. Also Jeremy Irons looks sooooo good in this movie.
Gothic & Lolita Psycho (2010)
Directed by Gô OharaGenre: Horror / Action
My Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
A classic revenge movie about a girl dawning gothic lolita fashion and killing the assassins who killed her mother one by one...I personally love these kinda cheap horror-action movies so I really had a massively fun time watching this...I love when movies have a character get cut open or amputated and a massive amount of blood comes out like littetally a fountain. It's the best. It reminds me a bit of Tokyo Gore Police just with a bit of a lesser budget. I really love all the costume designs in this movie, espeically of the main girl , Yuki. (I know, fork found in kitchen.) I reccomend if you like fun J-horror stuff.
