PERSONALITY: annette is a very outgoing woman, maybe so much so that to others she comes across as extremely overbearing or even intense. she is notoriously loud and vulgar, she isn't afraid to tell you her thoughts on anything and will start fights, either verbal or physical, over it without second thought...but to most people she is very friendly! in her own special way.
she can be very emotional - considering herself a bit of a softie and makes most of her choices based on feeling rather than rationality. she tends to have intense anger outbursts occasionally and gets very angry very quickly for a multitudes of reasons. has a nasty habit of breaking things or punching holes in walls when really worked up. she has lots of opinons on everything and has to rant and rave about it or else she'll end up losing her cool.
annette is materialistic, indulging in expensive things such as jewelry, fashion and makeup she never got to when she was in her formative years...however she can only afford to indulge in this because she is a theif with no limits on what she will steal. she steals for buisnesses, other people, it doesnt matter. she knows its wrong but still justifies her behavior. she has been doing this since she was very young and really has no intent on stopping.
she has become almost a person of note with the authorities in the multiple areas she's lived due to her nasty behavior of stealing and starting (and stoking) fights. she's been detained and arrested countless times. though she keeps this under wraps, or at least tries to.

born in rural kentucky to a pair of hoarders, annette felt she was dealt the short end of the stick from birth. annette herself was an only child, the only people she had in her life that weren't her parents (whom she had grown intense hatred for by the age of 10) were her various cousins. she would always find ways to be out of the house at any given time as she had grown disgusted with her living conditions and couldn't stand being in it for long periods of time. by the age of 16 she was practically couch surfing from family member to family memeber and often stole things from various stores and homes to get by - a habit she still has to this day.
annette had involved herself with unsavory crowds since a very young age, picking up smoking at the age of 13 due to hanging out with a few of her cousins shitty, older friends and took up drinking when she was stressed by the age of 15. she often wouldn't get carded at gas station due to being perceived as 'older looking' and thus would go down to the street corner by her cousin's house to by beer and cigarettes every week. needless to say she was exposed to bad habits at a very early age.

when annette was 18 years old, she was drafted into the sex work buisness - specifcally an escort. working under the guidance of shitty older men she had met in her youth. she never graduated highschool and dropped out the year before she was set to graduate because she hated the school system with a burning passion and knew it would deeply upset her parents who she wanted to dismantle their image her being their perfect daughter slowly and painfully.
she found herself lodged deeply into the soft white seedy underbelly of humanity, encountering the worst of the worst and putting her life in danger multiple times all for the sake of making money for herself and her "boss". though one thing shone like a light in the darkness that kept her going - her best friend, krystal. a girl she had met when they were merely in their teens. they were practically sisters. they had found themselves in this line of work together and protected eachother like their lives depended on it.
annette was only 22 years old when krystal was murdered. killed by the same buisness the girls worked for. she didn't have much time greive, work had to come first. she shelved the pain of it all and decided she needed to leave, no matter how long it took. she would get out of this buisness alive and escape for her best friend. and would start a life that she and krystal promised they'd want in the future.

SHRIKE VICARIOHUSBAND
shrike is annette's husband. married for over 10 years, if you tried to seprate the two they'd probably die. shrike has seen the worse sides of annette and vice versa. the two married in a shitty church in las vegas and spent their honeymoon there in dingy honeymoon hotels, treating themselves after the death of shrike's brother.
annette loves shrike very dearly. she is very fiercely protective of him due to almost losing him so many times. during their youth she gradually drew him out of his shell he retreated to after being abused at home and this taught her to have patience. espeically with the people she loves. and after ikurou left she became even more protective. though she's eased up over the years give who he is now, she still cant help but be on edge about his well-being.
now , they have been together for what seems like forever. fitting together perfectly like a puzzle peice as they have done everything you can manage to do to make a relationship prosper. though the two seem to bicker often over menial things, it doesn't detract from how deeply in love they are with eachother.
annette feels shrike is the only person in the world who fully understands her and accepts her for who she is no matter how damaged she may think she is. she feels she does not need to be on guard when with him and is able to be fully vulnerable with him, and he is very gentle with her in return. she knows he doesn't see her for only her body like so many people do.
annette is fully aware of what shrike does for his actual job description and has no problems with it; if anything, she is an accomplice to his misdeeds. she has no issue with immoral deeds for money as she has become completely desensitized to the underbelly of man and monsterkind alike.
IKUROU STEELEBEST FRIEND
annette and ikurou are very close. annette being ikurous first real friend. she has always known about ikurou's self-destructive tendancies and was seemingly always braced for the worst but still found herself hurt and confused when he left. though she knew that his departure wasn't malicious in the slightest, she still couldn't help but feel sad that he never listened to her advice that that ismael guy was a real peice of shit.
she could never find herself mad at him for it all, though. if anything it just makes her sad to see her best friend hurt so badly. to see him come crawling to her begging on his hands and knees for forgiveness for something that wasn't even his fault.
annette clearly cares for ikurou a great deal, but often scolds him for not having common sense or acting irrationally...which is ironic coming from her. she coachs him on how to interact with normal people again, how to get through rehab and how to find himself a job.....though she still can't get him to confess to that girl he likes.
KASVI AOBEST FRIEND
annette met kasvi after she had slept over after what was SUPPOSED to be a one-night-stand with ikurou. she had wondered into the upstairs of the house and came face to face with annette. the two immedeietly hit it off and quickly became best friends.
annette feels a very strong protective urge over kasvi, feeling like she is the first female friend she's let herself get close to after krystal's death all those years ago. she would be distraught if kasvi ever slipped through the cracks like she did and got herself involved with dangerous people.
allthough she and kasvi go to lots of parties and nightclubs together she watches over her friend like a hawk, making sure shes not doing any sorts of drugs or getting to drunk to stand. she wants to bring kasvi out of her shell and show her how fun the outside world is but wants to keep her safe and sane.
kasvi looks up to annette as a shining example of a woman who has it all together, but that makes annette feel sad if anything as she belives she is the farthest thing from that.
